Comparison of Ground Reaction Forces between Combat Boots and Sports Shoes

نویسندگان

چکیده

It is unclear whether military shoes (combat boots and sports shoes) attenuate loading rate or affect force transfer during walking. Therefore, this study compared ground reaction forces (GRF) related to impact between combat boots, shoes, running shoes. Ten army recruits walked over a walkway with two plates embedded. GRF were measured when walking barefoot (for data normalisation) Loading rate, first second peak forces, push-off of computed along temporal analysis waveforms. Reduced was observed for the shoe boot (p = 0.02; d 0.98) 0.04; 0.92). The elicited smaller than < 0.01; 0.83). Walking led larger potentially due harder material used in midsole composition (i.e., styrene-butadiene rubber). Combat did not optimise load transmission may lead, long-term perspective, greater injury risk.

Comparison of Ground Reaction Force Components during Running with Running Shoes and Control Shoes in Individuals with Genu Varum

Introduction: Running poses an essential role in maintaining cardiovascular health. However, it has been demonstrated that 2.5 to 38 injuries per 1,000 hours of running can occur. The purpose of this study was to investigate ground reaction forces components during running with running shoes compared to control shoes in individuals with genu varum. Methods: This study was laboratory and semi-e...

Normalization of ground reaction forces.

The appropriateness of normalizing data, as one method to reduce the effects of a covariate on a dependent variable, should be evaluated. Using ratio, 0.67-nonlinear, and fitted normalizations, the aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between ground reaction force variables and body mass (BM). Ground reaction forces were recorded for 40 female subjects running at 3.7 +/- 0.18 m...

Ground Reaction Force and Kinematic Characteristics of Pirouette in Ballet in Flat Shoes versus Pointe Shoes

The purpose of this study was to investigate the ground reaction force and kinematic variables in the ballet single turn called pirouette in both flat shoes and pointe shoes by skilled professional ballet dancers. Kinematic parameters of both legs and ground reaction force were obtained from eight skilled ballet dancers through a threedimensional motion analysis. We found significant increased ...

The Effect of High Heel Shoes on Tibiofemoral and Patellofemoral joint Contact Forces and Muscle Forces

Introduction: High heel shoes affect the knee joint and can cause arthritis in the tibiofemoral (TFJ) and patellofemoral joints (PFJ). There is a dearth of research investigating the contact forces of TFJ and PFJ. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to assess the effect of high heel shoes on muscle forces as well as TFJ, and PFJ contact forces during walking.   Materials & Methods: A tot...
